Mrs. Betty June Turner, age 82, passed away on Monday, May 15, 2017, at Four County Health Care in Richland. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 17, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery in Plains. Friends may call at Hancock Funeral Home on Wednesday, between the hours of 1:00 & 2:00 PM, preceding the funeral service. Born May 7, 1935 in Webster County, she was a daughter of the late William Henry Harris and Willie Lee Cooper Harris. Mrs. Turner owned and managed Turner Hardware Company and was a member of Plains Baptist Church. Survivors include two sisters: Florence Blanton of Plains and Virginia Roberts of Americus; three brothers: William Harris of Americus, Ben Harris of Dawson, and Howard Harris of Vienna; and a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Ernest Turner; and by a brother, Marvin Harris.
