Louise Veal Goodin

Mrs. Louise Veal Goodin, age 93, passed away on Monday, May 22, 2017, at her home in Smithville. Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Wednesday, May 24, from the graveside at Sunset Memorial Gardens, with Rev. Mark Kinservik officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, May 23, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born June 2, 1923 in the New Era Community, she was a daughter of the late Nathan Veal and Lee Edosia Battle Veal. Mrs. Goodin was a home maker and a member of County Line United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Chester Goodin; by two sons: Nathan Goodin and Kerman Goodin; by one son-in-law, Larry Dew; by four brothers and two sisters; and by one grandchild. Survivors include two sons: Joe Goodin (Donna) and Allen Goodin (Candy); two daughters: Shirley Dew and Barbara Harris (Jim); two daughters-in-law: Joy Goodin and Marilyn Goodin; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
