Mr. William "Bill" Butler, Jr., age 70, passed away on Friday evening, September 1, 2017, at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus. Funeral services are planned for 4:00 PM on Tuesday, September 5, from the graveside at Macon Memorial Park in Macon, with Elder Eugene Carroll officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday evening, September 4, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM, at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born December 13, 1946 in Macon, he was a son of the late William Butler, Sr. and Mary Leola Carroll Butler. Mr. Butler worked in management at Textron and the Tog Shop, and was formerly employed for several years as a police officer in Macon. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Survivors include his wife, Jackie Butler; sons: Lance Butler (Allison), Casey Butler (Stephaine), and Seth Butler (Jenny); daughters: Lainie Stephens (Giles), Courtney Butler, Becky Johnston (Joe), and Abby Butler; nine grandchildren: Jody, Michael, Kurt, Jace, Emily, Ocoee, Dudeson, Kember, and Isobel; and three great-grandchildren: Layla, Mason, and Kamdyn.
