Donald Varnum

Mr. Donald Varnum, age 71, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Wednesday, September 13, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Earl Dunmon officiating. Burial is to follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born May 26, 1946, he was a son of the late Arthur Alvin Varnum and Daisy Lee Hardin Varnum. Mr. Varnum was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and was a self-employed automobile paint and body technician. He loved to fish and he loved his dog Skeeter. Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Gray (William) of Ellaville; two brothers: Otto Varnum and James Varnum, both of Americus; grandchildren: John Farley (Kari Leanne Farley) and Amanda Farley; one great-granddaughter, Addison Farley; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 12, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home.
