Elizabeth "Zibby" Smith

Mrs. Elizabeth "Zibby" Smith passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, at Sumter Retirement Village in Plains. Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Sunday, September 17, at Hebron Baptist Church, with Rev. Ron Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, September 16, between the hours of 6:00 & 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born January 8, 1934 in Long Beach, California, she was a daughter of the late John Tullis Wiggins and Belle Berry Wiggins. Mrs. Smith was a retired banker at Sumter Bank and Trust, and was a member of Hebron Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Bobby Smith of Americus; one daughter, Scarlett Smith Reynolds; one granddaughter, Megan Reynolds Hameister; and one niece, Kelly Brown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Hebron Baptist Church, 1854 GA Hwy 49 S, Smithville, GA 31787.
