Donald Eugene "Shorty" Dailey

Mr. Donald Eugene "Shorty" Dailey, age 77, passed away on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at his home in Richland. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 21, from the graveside at Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM on Saturday at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born July 18, 1940 in Preston, he was the son of the late Simon Dailey and the late Annie Jordan Dailey. Shorty was employed for many years at Bass Service Station in Americus. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; by his wife, Rheba Louise Stalnaker Dailey; by his sister, Gladys Hall; and by three brothers: James Dailey, Buddy Dailey, and Jerry Dailey. Survivors include three sisters: Betty Cagle of Preston, Corienna Watson (Danny) of Seale, AL, and Annie Lou Harrelson of Zephyrhills, FL; one sister-in-law, Joyce Dailey of Plains; and many nieces and nephews.
