Patricia "Pat" Recker

Mrs. Patricia A. "Pat" Recker, age 83, passed away on Monday evening, December 18, 2017, at home in Plains. Services are planned for 3:00 PM on Friday, December 22, at Plains Baptist Church with Rev. Buck Kinney officiating. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the services. A private interment will follow at a later time in Andersonville National Cemetery. Born September 17, 1934 in Elkridge, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late David Arthur Pyle, Sr. and the late Mary Annie Jordan Pyle. Mrs. Recker was retired from the National Park Service, having been assigned to Jimmy Carter National Historic Site and Andersonville National Historic Site. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Joseph Earl Recker, Sr.; and by her sister, Josephine Hunter. Survivors include three sons: Raymond Joseph Recker "Ray", David Charles Recker, and Joseph Earl Recker, Jr. "Joey"; one brother, David Arthur Pyle, Jr.; and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
