Lethia "Joann" Riveira

Mrs. Lethia Joann Riveira, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at her home in Buena Vista. Born May 17, 1933 in Opa Locka, Florida, she was a daughter of the late Marvin Hood and the late Nancy Laerdele Hood. Joann was a home maker who enjoyed entertaining, cooking for family, and dancing with her husband of 61 years, Bonifacia Justo Riveira, who passed away on January 12, 2012. She is survived by six children: Peter Riveira (Robin) of Chester, CT, Wesley Riveira (Julie) of West Palm Beach, FL, Laura Orton (Bob) of Buena Vista, Keith Riveira (Lissette) of Loxahatchee, FL, Kenneth Riveira (Jill) of Charlotte, NC, and Glenn Riveira of Buena Vista; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 100 Brookstone Center Parkway, Columbus, GA 31904. All services will be private.
