Miss Minnetta Louise Niblack, 88, died shortly after noon on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009. Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 11, at Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. John Brodess officiating. Born November 28, 1921, in Sumter County, Miss Niblack was a daughter of the late Clarence Elroy Niblack and Minnetta Lee Bruce Niblack. She received a BS degree in Education from Georgia College in Milledgeville and was a school teacher and librarian in Port Saint Joe, FL until her retirement. Survivors include a sister, Sarah F. Niblack of S. Pasadena, FL; a niece, Sarah Jean Crenshaw Owens of Pembroke, nephews Ray H. Crenshaw of Byron and Philip Earl Crenshaw of Prescott, AZ; and a long-time, very devoted friend, Miriam Dismuke of Port Saint Joe. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred N. Crenshaw and a brother, C. E. Niblack, Jr. Hancock Funeral Home, Americus, GA 31709 (229-924-3645) DECEMBER 10, 2009: Due to the anticipated cold weather for Friday, services will be held in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home instead of graveside. There will be no service at the cemetery. The time for the service is not changed.
