Marjorie B. Jones

Mrs. Marjorie B. Jones, 92, 2001 South Lee Street, died on Monday morning, January 4, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Graveside services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 6, in Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Brian Myers officiating. Born September 5, 1917, in Columbus, GA, she was a daughter of the late Enoch Sanford Bland and Hattie Stella Newsom Bland. The widow of H. O. “Son” Jones, Jr., Mrs. Jones was a retired computer files clerk at the Tog Shop, and was a member of Central Baptist Church. Survivors include two sons, Henry O. Jones, III and his wife Barbara Becraft of Cordele, and Michael B. Jones of Americus; one sister, Frances B. Robertson of Americus; two grandchildren, William Evans Jones of Americus, and Amy Johnston & her husband Dan of Eugene, Oregon; two great-grandchildren, William Johnston and Elizabeth Grace Johnston of Eugene, Oregon.
