Mrs. Marian Wilson Johnson,82, passed away at Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany, GA, on January 19. Funeral services will be conducted in Macedonia Baptist Church in Webster County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 23, with Rev. Robert Orr officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Born March 31, 1927, in North Hollywood, CA, Mrs. Johnson was a daughter of the late Charles Wilson and June B. Sprouse Wilson. She was a homemaker and a beloved member of the Centerpoint community. The family will receive friends at Hancock Funeral Home in Americus from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday. At other times, friends may call at the family residence. Memorial contributions may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 5716 Macedonia Church Road, Preston, GA 31824. Survivors include her son, Steven "Skip" Johnson of Plains; grandchildren Trisha Boyer and her husband Brent of Lakeland, FL, and Jeffrey Massey and his wife Redonna of Corona, CA; great grandchildren, Willow Boyer and Chandler Boyer, both of Lakeland, FL, Halee Press, Kalei Massey, McKenna Massey, and Zachary Massey, all of Corona, CA; a niece, Mary Thompson of Ontario, CA; great nephews, Eric Thompson and his wife Leslie of Upland, CA, and Curt Thompson and his wife Debbie of Perris, CA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tressie and Glen Burns of Shreveport, LA, Leona and Melvin Gradick of Prattville, AL, and Warren and Peggy Johnson of Tybee Island, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, James D. Johnson and her daughter, Becky A. Wilson. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, GA.
