Mrs. Beverly Ann Canter died on Monday morning, April 5, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home with the Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Following the service, Mrs. Canter will be cremated. Born October 23, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, Mrs. Canter was the daughter of William S. and Helen Walter Bass. She enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The family will receive friends at Hancock Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 7. At other times friends may call at the family residence. Survivors include her husband with whom she would have celebrated their 50th anniversary on April 23 of this year, Thompson Canter, of Americus; three sons and daughters-in-law, William and Gigi Canter and Thomas Canter and JoAnn Een, all of Seattle, WA, and Mark and Jennifer Canter of Cleveland, OH; five grandchildren, Samuel Canter, Ian Canter, Alexia Canter, Ariana Canter, and Karyn Canter; and a number of nieces and nephews.
