Odell Kelley Register

Services for Odell Kelley Register of Americus, formerly of Rentz, will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, August 13, 2010, in the chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rentz Cemetery. Rev. Albert Lyles and Rev. Robbie Jones will officiate. Mrs. Register was born in Valdosta and was the daughter of the late James Ashley Kelley and the late Julia Mae McCullars Kelley. She was preceded in death by her husband Elmer Register, and was a member of Rentz Baptist Church. She is survived by stepson, Eugene A. (Becky) Register of Conley, Georgia, stepdaughters, Jacquelyn Smith of Bryceville, Florida, and Sue (Mark) Rogers of Nicholls, Georgia, sisters, Mary (James) Shellhouse of Americus, Georgia, and Betty (Malcolm) Potts of Conley, Georgia, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Nephews and grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Friday from 10:00AM until 11:00 AM at Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Americus.
