Ms. Barbara Sellards Lowell, 44, of Plains passed away on Friday, October 22, in Phoebe-Putney Memorial Hospital. Graveside services were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, in the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery in Webster County with the Rev. Lee Smith officiating. Born September 15, 1966 in Terrell County, Ms. Lowell was a daughter of Mrs. Ethel Cooper Sellards of Plains and the late Troy Stanley Sellards. She was a graduate of Greenfield Academy and had attended South Georgia Technical School and Georgia Southwestern College. She was a member of the Plains United Methodist Church and was the lunchroom manager for the Webster County Board of Education. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Ann Harris, 1801 Rose Avenue, Americus, GA 31709 or to the Plains United Methodist Church, 301 West Church Street, Plains, GA 31780. Survivors, in addition to her mother, include two daughters and a son-in-law, Kelly and Quint Robinson of Americus, and Cassie Lowell of Plains; four sons, Ted Lowell, Chris Lowell, Justin Lowell, and Casey Lowell, all of Plains; and a sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Mike Wills of Preston.
