Georgia Ann Smith

Mrs. Georgia Ann Smith, 49, passed away on Friday, October 29, at the home of her sister in Leesburg following several months of declining health. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 2, 2010, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home with interment to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The Rev. Chris Hurt will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 noon until services begin. Born March 9, 1961, in Fulton County, Mrs. Smith was a daughter of the late Benjamin Hill and Joan Vietta Ryder Hill Wiggins. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Survivors include her husband, Tommy Smith of Andersonville; her children Jessica and Jason Rogers, Sara Nichole Smith, Gary and Marie Holt Buck, all of Andersonville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Brenda and Barry Talley of Leesburg, and Susan and Robby Gaultney of Ellaville; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Bobby Wayne and Glenda Wiggins of Sodie Daisey, TN, and Willie Fletcher Wiggins of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, Kendall Summer Smith and Michael Daniel Holt, both of Andersonville; and several nieces and nephews. A brother, Havis Millard “Tiny” Brown, preceded her in death. Hancock Funeral Home, 427 South Lee Street, Americus, Georgia.
