Miss Frances Elizabeth English, 92, passed away on Saturday, December 4, 2010, in Magnolia Manor Nursing Center in Americus, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home with the Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Interment, with no service at the graveside, will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home following the service. Born September 13, 1918, in Macon County, Miss English was a daughter of the late Charles Flemmiel English Sr. and Mary Ethel Booth English. She was a clothes presser for English Laundry in Winter Garden, Florida. After moving to Americus, and as long as her health allowed, she attended the Lee Street United Methodist Church of Americus. Survivors include a niece, Bonnie Wallace of Inverness, FL; a nephew, Mike English and his wife Carol of Tampa, FL; four third cousins, Peggy Sutton, Polly Hancock, and Jack Booth, all of Americus, and JoAnn Seawright of Schley County.
