Alan Ragland Davis, Sr.

November 13, 1948 — July 3, 2024

On Wednesday, July 3rd, 2024, Alan Ragland Davis Sr.,75 years old, departed this world and returned home to be reunited with his Mom and Dad, and beloved pups, that were waiting for him in Heaven.

I wish I could explain to you the amount of memories, love, respect, and unforgettable impact in so many people's lives, that Dad was a part of, and know that his many pearls of wisdom and experience, will forever live on in our hearts and souls.

As a Vietnam veteran, USMC LCpl Davis received numerous awards and medals for his bravery, and valor. From saving children lost in a swamp while stationed at Cherry Pointe, meeting his lifelong friend John Metzen, and then doing 2 tours in Vietnam, Alan was there to do his duty in honor and serve the United States of America.

Having married Aleta Jean Pope, together they blessed this world with 4 exemplary children. Eldest son Alan Davis Jr. and wife Connie, 2nd eldest son Brian Davis and wife Melissa, daughter Erin Davis Henemyre, her husband Jamie and their son Jay Henemyre, and John Davis, who is engaged to Melissa Jossey, and Cody Archer. Alan is survived also in life by his siblings and families: Richard Davis, wife June, and their children Ben and Anna; Robert Davis, wife Christina, and son Abraham; Marsha Harrison, husband Bobby, and son Lee; Grandchildren, Trey Davis, Chase Davis, Andy Houston, Madyson Davis, Ayden Davis, and Chloe Elizabeth Ribbola.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Major Glenn Davis and June Geraldine Davis.

Our Dad… We Love You Always, Forever, and God couldn’t have Blessed us with a better Father. We will see you soon.
