Alice Cagle Fuller, 95, passed away Monday evening, December 30, 2024, at her daughter’s home in Plains, Georgia.
Born on August 22, 1929 in Phil Campbell, Alabama she was a daughter of the late Evett and Mattie Cagle. Mrs. Alice was a lifelong resident of Americus, Georgia. She married the love of her life, Harry T. Fuller, and they spent 67 wonderful years together until his death in 2014. Mrs. Alice loved spending quality time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, reading her Bible, and was a great cook. In her early years, Mrs. Alice worked as a master cosmetologist, and later went on to work as a seamstress for Gertrude Davenport. She and her husband were both longtime members of Central Baptist Church in Americus, Georgia. She loved her church family dearly and enjoyed being involved whenever she was able.
Along with her parents and her loving husband, Mrs. Alice is preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia F. Barry; her son, Fadale Fuller; three son-in-law’s, Ron Phillips, Bobby Barry and Tom Braswell; as well as two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy F. Phillips and Paula F. Braswell; her sister, Shirley Hickey (Carl); her daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Mimbs; her grandchildren, Sundai Tanner (Greg), Alan Barry (Terri), Preston Phillips (Jessica), Peyton Phillips, Parker Lambert (Clay), Dale Fuller (Kim), Wendy Masters (Jamie), Candice Branche, Billy Braswell, Chad Braswell, and Patrick Braswell; her great-grandchildren, Summer Tanner, Corey Tanner (Taylor), Cassie Spradley (Jordan), Allan Rue, Mason Phillips, Natalie Phillips, Emberly Phillips, Lexie King (Hayden), Lindsey Branche, Chase Lambert, Blaine Masters, Tristen Masters, Joshua Fuller, Bethany Fuller; several great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Thursday, January 2, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee Street, with the funeral service to follow promptly at 11:00 AM in the chapel. The Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens immediately after the service.
