Mrs. Alma Genelle Rigby, age 70, passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Burial will be private in Oak Grove Cemetery. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be a memorial service held at a later date to be announced. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 28, between the hours of 4:00 and 6:00 PM at 214 Bob Dodson Road in Plains. Born June 29, 1950 in Twin City, GA, she was a daughter of the late Wilburn Tillman Watson and the late Alma Kimball Watson. She was retired as secretary and office manager for Dr. Denhoff, and was of the Christian faith. She loved butterflies and enjoyed gardening, fishing, and watching wrestling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Turner Rigby; and by one sister. Survivors include two sons: Retired Staff Sergeant Christopher Wade Adams (Christy) and David Brian Adams; two grandchildren: Madison Adams and Marshall Adams; one sister, Helen Miller (Bobby); and several nieces and nephews.
