Anthony "Tony" Wayne Grinolds

Mr. Anthony "Tony" Wayne Grinolds, age 62, passed away on Saturday morning, August 7, 2021, at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services are planned for 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 12, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Ben Amerson officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. The staff of Hancock Funeral Home would like to issue a gentle reminder to all attendees that, due to the COVID-19 resurgence, reasonable social distancing should be maintained at all times, and the use of face masks is recommended for those not yet vaccinated. Born April 6, 1959 in Tampa, FL, he was a son of the late Wayne Leroy Grinolds and the late Sidney Lu Conger Grinolds Penn. He was of the Christian faith, and was self employed, working in carpentry and construction. He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served our country from 1976 through 1979. Survivors include his children: Michelle Leigh Grinolds and Mathew Terry Grinolds (Heather); grandchildren: Sarah Underwood, Miranda Underwood, Kyndall Underwood, Nathan Tondee, RaeLeigh Tondee, Jessa Grinolds, Annalise Grinolds, and Ruby Mae Grinolds; niece, Danielle Jackson; nephew, Nazareth Jackson; one great-niece; and two great-nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Grinolds; and by a sister, Terri Jackson.
