Beatrice Eugenia Hobbs

Mrs. Beatrice Eugenia Hobbs, age 92, passed away on Friday, August 23, 2019 at her home in Chatsworth, GA. Funeral services are planned for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 27, at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with Rev. Martin Dillon officiating.  Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. A native of Americus, she was born October 10, 1926, a daughter of the late Joseph Earl and Willie Eugenia Bradley. Bea had a bubbly personality.  She was always smiling and never met a stranger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Henry Hobbs, Jr.; by a brother, Joseph Bradley; and by two grandchildren: Amanda Hobbs and John Hobbs. She is survived by her loving family:  two daughters and six sons: Johnnie Lee McDonald, Joseph Hobbs (Sue), Jerusha Ryals (James), Carey Hobbs, James Hobbs (Shonna), Warren Hobbs, Henry Hobbs (Sally), and Dale Hobbs; two daughters-in-love: Teresa Hobbs and Theresa Womack; eighteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The family would like to especially acknowledge a very special person, Sue, for stepping in and taking care of our beloved Bea.  Because of Sue, Bea was always well fed and well taken care of.  Sue even made sure visitors were welcome as well.  And for that, the family is thankful.
