Bessie F. Dinkins

Mrs. Bessie F. Dinkins, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at the Fellowship Home at Cordelia Manor in Cordele. Funeral services are planned for 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 28, in the committal pavilion at Andersonville National Historic Site with Rev. Bryan Bentley officiating. Interment will follow in Andersonville National Cemetery. Born April 27, 1929 in Anniston, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late Otis and Bertha Fincher. She and her husband, the late Troy B. "Junior" Dinkins, owned and operated Dinkins' Store at Lake Blackshear. She was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in Cobb. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by sisters and brothers: Lorrin Burke, Gladys Johnson, Otis Fincher, and Bobby Fincher. She is survived by two sisters: Joann Rabon and Mary Smith, both of Griffin; and multiple nieces, nephews and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of Cordelia Manor and the nurses at Hospice Reflections for their devoted care to Mrs. Dinkins.
