Billie Jo Arthur

Ms. Billie Jo Arthur, 74, passed away Thursday morning, May 9, 2024, at her home in Americus, GA. Born in Macon County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Olin English. Ms. Billie Jo was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She retired as Vice President from Synovus, formerly SB&T. A graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Billie Jo on Sunday, May 12, at 2:30pm in Oak Grove Cemetery, officiated by Steven Golden and Chet Ragsdale. Along with her parents, Ms. Billie Jo is preceded in death by her loving husband, James Danny Arthur; her son, Alan Arthur; and her brothers, Curtis Ray English and Floyd Davis English; Survivors include her sister-in-law, Jackie English; her special friends Kim and Eddie Dunn; her brother-in-law, David Arthur; her sister-in-law, Brenda Arthur; her brother-in-law, Ronnie Arthur (Becky); several nieces and nephews; her sitters, Yolanda Carter and Marlene Diem; as well as many special friends. Those serving as pallbearers for the service will include: Kenneth English, Davis English, Michael English, Matt Icard, Colby Britt, Ronny English, and Matt Prichard.
