Bobby H. Strange

Mr. Bobby H. Strange, age 92, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023 at his home in Americus. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Sunday, July 2, at Salem Methodist Church with Jake Revell officiating and Joyce Carreker providing musical accompaniment. Interment, with full military honors, will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Born December 19, 1930 in Ellaville, he was a son of the late Walter Greene Strange and the late Jennie Sinclair Harrison Strange. He was a member of First Methodist Church and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in 1951 and 1952. He was retired from Safeco Insurance Company. Survivors include his wife, Margie Strange; children: Bobby H. "Chuck" Strange, Jr. (Donna), and Russell H. "Russ" Strange; grandchildren: Keri Strange Gilbert, Clay Strange, Haley Strange Revell, and Autumn Strange; great-grandchildren: Kate Gilbert, Rylee Gilbert, Mason Gilbert, Alston Revell, Harrison Revell, Jackson Revell, Baker Strange, and Katherine Strange. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret "Claire" Jones; and by his brother and sisters: Walter Strange, Sue Stephens, Arbie Ann Bridges, Jennette Knowlton, and Betty Campbell.
