Mrs. Carole Baab Brown, age 94, passed away on July 22, 2023 at Sumter Retirement Village in Plains. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 26, from the graveside at Crown Hill Cemetery in Albany, with Father Richard Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening, July 25, between the hours of 5:00 & 8:00 PM at the home of Anne and Mark Barrett, 144 N. Bailey Ave. in Leslie. Born May 19, 1929 in Canal Fulton, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late Walter Edward Baab and the late Ethel Weygandt Baab. Mrs. Brown was a member of First Methodist Church of Americus where she was in the Wesley Epworth Sunday School class. She enjoyed gardening and was a great cook. A history buff, she enjoyed researching genealogy. She loved her pets and she especially loved being with her family. She enjoyed membership in the Council of Safety NSDAR, the Dogwood Garden Club and the Federated Garden Club. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Richard H. Zabadah; and in 2015 by her second husband, Arcey Thomas Brown; by her brother Harry Baab; and by her sister Jeanne Ringley. She is survived by her children: Richard Zabadah, Jr. of Albany, Anne Barrett (Mark) of Leslie, and Carla Satterfield (David) of Miramar Beach, FL.; grandchildren: Evan Zabadah, Eli Zabadag (Sarah), Elise Zabadah, Beau Barrett (Natalie), and John Barrett; and five great-grandchildren.
