Myers, FL where they lived for a number of years. With the guidance of their church and the assistance of about 125 other members of the sponsoring church, they helped start a new Methodist Church in Ft. Myers and were blessed to see that fledgling church become a major house of worship. She enjoyed teaching the 4 and 5-year-old children in the church. While living in Florida, Mrs. Roby began work at the Dade County Department of Public Health as the secretary to the social worker. At the time she left that post, she had become the supervisor of a secretarial pool of 12 to 15 secretaries. When her husband required dialysis, she was trained as a home health dialysis technician by one of the only three dialysis facilities in the United States at that time. They then relocated to Americus and she ministered to Mr. Roby for about 18 years during which time the dialysis procedure was made available to many other parts of the country.    After the death of her husband in 1985, Mrs. Roby volunteered at the local hospital as a pink lady for many years.  She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she led and participated in many activities until her health declined.  She was a long term resident of Magnolia Manor where she was a friend to both staff and residents.   In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, James Gordon Feagin.Survivors include one son, Michael Dean Roby of Americus; two grandchildren: Fredra Dean Roby of Americus, and Michael Cade Roby of Americus; two great-grandchildren; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. The family would like to express appreciation to the staff of Magnolia Manor, especially all personnel of Assisted Living Section 4, to the staff of Phoebe- Sumter Hospice, and to Mrs. Roby's personal caregivers for their love and dedication during the last year of her life.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to First United Methodist Church, 200 S.
