Darryl Paul Stelter

Mr. Darryl Paul Stelter, age 53, of Leslie, passed away on Thursday evening, January 9, 2020, at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Funeral services are planned for 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 14, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday between the hours of 3:00 and 4:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home. Born September 14, 1966 in Kankakee, Illinois, he was a son of Darryl Douglas Stelter and Anita Arleen Elsey Stelter (Sluder).  Mr. Stelter was employed in maintenance at the Windsor Hotel and attended Lee Street United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, April Taylor Stelter; three sons: Kirk Stelter (Audrey), Matt Fortenberry (Brandy), and Steven Davis (Trinity); sister, Loretta Stelter Lamberth (Ricky); brother, Steven Stelter (Andrea); brother-in-law, Kenneth Taylor (Sarah); mother-in-law, Mildred Taylor; grandchildren: Elijah, Luke, Ruby, Caleb, Alexis, Robert, and Lauren; and nieces and nephews: Trisha L. Jones, Kristen L. Mason, Stephanie Stelter, Danielle Allen, and Michalle Bailey; and great-nieces and great-nephews: Arianna, Rosemary, Andrew, Lori, Margaret, Sophie, Roy, and Julia.
