David Ellis Welch

Dr. David Ellis Welch passed away on Monday, July 24, 2023 at Advent Health Redmond in Rome, GA. Funeral services are planned for 10:30 AM on Friday, July 27, from the graveside at Preston Cemetery. Born December 3, 1943 in Cuthbert, he was a son of the late Thomas Russell Welch and the late Sara Ann Mainor Welch. A veteran of the United States military, Dr. Welch was a retired Doctor of Physics. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reba Kathleen Logan. Survivors include his brother, Oliver Welch; and his adopted sister, Louise Clark.
