Mrs. Denise Strickland, age 66, passed away on Friday, July 21, 2023 at Willson Hospice House in Albany. Services are planned for 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 25, in the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. The family will receive friends on Monday, July 24, between the hours of 5:00 & 7:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home. Born June 13, 1957 in Macon, she was a daughter of the late Breece Hendley and the late Carolyn Jackson Hendley. Denise was a home maker who loved her family and enjoyed fishing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sonny and Louise Dowdey; brother, Joe Hendley; sister Elaine Strickland; brother-in-law, Tim Strickland; and nephews: Jamie Butler, Thomas Callier, Johnathan Strickland, TJ Strickland, and Timothy Strickland. Survivors include her husband, Rick Strickland; children: Robert Meisner (Jamie Levrets), Richard Strickland, and Stephanie Strickland; grandchildren: Korey Meisner, Austin Meisner, Christian Meisner, Skylar Strickland, Lucian Strickland, Teagan Strickland, Alyssa Strickland, Kayla Levrets, and Blake Levrets; great-granddaughter, Ayvah Meisner; brother and sisters: Paul Odum, Kay Parks, Lee Ann Willis, and Christina Odum; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law: Art Strickland, Tammy White, and Gwen Strickland; nieces and nephews: Jessica Parks, Mandy Strickland (Tara), Krystal Strickland, Megan Strickland, Ashley Strickland, Candice Strickland, Richard Butler (Mishelle), Dewaye Sword (Melissa), Michael Parks, Brandon Callier, Jeremy Robinson, Ryan Robinson, and Nathan Newton; and many more loved ones.
