Dudley Elton "Nip" Law, Iii

Mr. Dudley Elton "Nip" Law, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, at his home in Leslie. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Monday, July 1, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Wesley Kaylor and Rev. John Rainwater officiating.  Interment will be private. The family will receive friends on Monday at Hancock Funeral Home, between the hours of 1:00 & 2:00 PM, and at other times at the family residence, 470 Lower Forks Road in Leslie. Born January 7, 1948 in Americus, he was a son of the late Dudley Elton Law, II and Anna Kate Eubanks Law, who survives him. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, LaWanji Kay Parker Law; children: Becky Raybon (Kenneth) of Ellaville, Jenny Owen (John) of Americus, Denise Kiser (Jimmy) of Gainesville, GA, Diana Kate Johnson (Bill) of Grand Junction, CO, and Tina Law of Americus; step-children: Kacey McLaughlin of Leslie and Mack McLaughlin (Stephany) of Snellville; sister & brothers: Judy Rainmaker (John) of Savannah, Mike Law of Americus, Dale Law of North Carolina, and Lucky Law (Terri) of Minnesota; grandchildren: Christopher, David, & Justin Johnson, Jake Owen, Marcus Bateman, Zach Raybon (Lizzie), Will Raybon, Parker Wilson, and Layla, Marston, and Macsen McLaughlin; two great-grandchildren: Logan and Rae McLaughlin; and his beloved little dog, Buster. He was a veteran of the United States Navy, having served on the USS John A. Bole in the Vietnam War where he earned three bronze stars.  Nip was an avid outdooorsman, enjoying hunting and fishing, and he loved as hard as he played.
