Mrs. Edith Wall Thompson, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at her home in Plains. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Thursday, January 21, from the graveside at Lebanon Cemetery, with Rev. Buck Kinney officating. While they appreciate your outpourings of love and sympathy, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, for the safety of all, the family has requested that services be attended by immediate family only. Born August 23, 1933 in Schley County, she was a daughter of the late J.C. Wall and the late Reba Toms Wall. Mrs. Thompson was a member of Plains Baptist Church and was daycare teacher at Brooklyn Heights Christian School Daycare and Precious Times Preschool. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Harold Thompson. Survivors include five daughters: Janice Matthews (Bill), Donna Albritton (Dale), Rhonda Stubbs (Larry), Ann Lamb (Milze), and Cindy Hall (Dennis); grandchildren: Allison Phillips, Brian Matthews, Garrett Matthews, Gina Canon, Mitzi Shufflebarger, Angie Albritton, Julie Bonner, Bob Stubbs, Andrea Ellis, Christin Moore, and Allen Hall; great-grandchildren: Britton Cox, Brailey Cox, Dakota Knight, Elyssa Lara, Genevieve Matthews, Brantley Matthews, Quinn Canon, Juliet Canon, Ethan Shufflebarger, Owen Shufflebarger, Parks Bonner, Chandler Bonner, Cole Ellis, Ian Ellis, and Christopher Hall; and great-great-grandchildren: Grayson Flores and Gavin Flores.
