Enrique Carranza Merino, age 50, passed away on Wedenesday, November 9, 2022 at his home in Americus. A funeral mass is planned for 11:00 AM on Monday, November 14, at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Cordele with Father Paulinus Okpala officiating. Interment will be later in Mexico. The family will receive friends on Sunday, November 13, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born March 20, 1972 in El Sabino, Guanajuato, Mexico, he was a son of the late Adan Carranza Jimenez and Maria Luz Merino Ramirez who survives him. He was a self-employed farmer and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his mother, Maria Luz Merino Ramirez; one son, Ramon Carranza Valdez; one daughter, Perla Marvella Carranza Resino; five brothers: Miguel Carranza Merino (Angelica Carranza), Isidro Carranza Merino (Connie Castillo), Joaquin Carranza Merino (Marta Nava), Adan Carranza Merino (Azucena Oviedo), and Ruben Carranza Merino (Adriana Medrano); one sister, Veronica Carranza Merino; one grandchild, Jusiah Israel Carranza Valdez; and nieces and nephews: Roxanne Carranza, Miguel Carranza, Maria Carranza, Diana Perez, Jasmine Perez, and Shann Perez.
