Mrs. Evelyn M. Holloway, age 93, passed away on Friday, July 13, 2018, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.Funeral services are planned for 3:00 PM on Sunday, July 15, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Bud Womack officiating.  Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Grandsons and great-grandsons are asked to serve as pallbearers.The family will receive friends on Sunday between the hours of 2:00 and 3:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, and at other times at the family residence, 907 Elmo Street in Americus.A native of Pike County, GA, she was born October 14, 1924, to the late Arthur Borden Moore and the late Virgil Estelle Buthune Moore.Mrs. Holloway was a member of Lee Street United Methodist Church, and was a member of Woodmen of the World.  She was employed for ten years at Manhattan Shirt Factory, then later worked doing private duty sewing.She was preceded in death by her parents; by two husbands, Jesse Edward Farr and Ernest L. Holloway; her son, Tony Farr; her daughter, Mary Evelyn Johnson; and by two sisters: Agnes Goolsby and Ann Parker.Survivors include one son, Ed Farr (Ruth) of Albany; three sisters: Candy Dinsmore (Doug) of Americus, Katie Edmondson of Dothan, AL, and Louise Wiggins of Americus; five grandchildren: Karen Thompson (Ken) of Augusta, Edward Farr, Jr. (VeAnn) of Dawson, Bob Farr (Jewell) of Albany, Angela Grube (Dan) of Sylvan, SC, and Scott Johnson (Stephanie) of Warrenton, GA; son-in-law, Larry Johnson of Warrenton, GA; and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.To sign our online guestbook and express your condolences to the family, please visit www.hancockfuneralhomeinc.comHancock Funeral Home, 427 S.
