Fred Statham Hodges

Mr. Fred Statham Hodges, Sr., age 58, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at his home in Andersonville. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 22, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Brooks Partain officiating. Interment will follow in Hodges Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends between the hours of 10:00 and 11:00 AM at Hancock Funeral Home, and at other times at 197 West Shore Drive in Americus. Born March 26, 1961 in Americus, he was a son of Warren F. Hodges, Sr. and Sue Statham. He owned and operated Fred's Auto Care, and was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family, racing, cars, motorcycles, and farming (row crops and cattle). In addition to his parents, survivors include three sons: Fred S. Hodges, Jr. (Leigha), Dustin C. Hodges, and Eric D. Hodges (Alison); three daughters: Tori D. Hodges, Tristah E. Kidd, and Milley B. Hodges; three brothers: Warren F. Hodges, Jr., John Statham, Sr. (Becky), and Jack M. Hodges, Sr. (Betsy); two sisters: Susan Hodges Crenshaw (Kenny) and Fran Hodges-Dye; a number of grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and his special companion (Peanut) Nutter Butter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Gail Hodges, and by a son, John Hodges.
