Gerald Richard Vaughan

Mr. Gerald Richard "Jerry" Vaughan, age 79, passed away on Sunday evening, November 18, 2018, at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center.Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 21, at Drayton Baptist Church in Vienna.  Rev. Richard Chalk will officiate.  The family will receive visitors between the hours of 5:00 and 7:00 PM on Tuesday, November 20, at Hancock Funeral Home on South Lee Street. Born October 18, 1939, he was a son of the late James Nunnally Vaughan and the late Ferol Adams Vaughan.  Mr. Vaughan was a cost analyst working in the accounting department at Weyerhaeuser.  He was a member and lay minister of Drayton Baptist Church.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Kelly Vaughan; by a son, Jay Vaughan and by a daughter, Johnna Vaughan; and by his siblings: Sonny Vaughan, Gwen Marshall, Jackie Brancla, and Van Vaughan.Survivors include his children: Blaine Vaughan (Amanda) of Americus, Justin Vaughan of Americus, Jamey Vaughan (Nicole) of Senoia, and Jodi Vaughan of Palmetto, FL; grandchildren: Rachel Vaughan, Brookins Vaughan, Kendall Evans, Aiden Vaughan, and Joannah Vaughan; sister: Lee Bass; and several nieces and nephews.To sign our online guestbook and express your condolences to the family, please visit www.hancockfuneralhomeinc.comHancock Funeral Home, 427 S.
