James Clark Daniel

Mr. James Clark Daniel, age 65, passed away on Wednesday evening, August 16, 2023 at his home in Webster County. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 19, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Rev. Travis Moody will officiate. Interment will be private in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends between the hours of 12:00 and 2:00 on Saturday at Hancock Funeral Home. Born March 2, 1958, he was a son of the late Billy Daniel and the late Peggy J. Long. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, having trained at Parris Island. Retired in 2021 from Underwood Trucking, Mr. Daniel was of the Christian faith, and enjoyed wood working and antiques. Survivors include his son Jimmy Daniel (April); daughter Heather Smith (Keith); fur baby Peanut Daniel; grandchildren: Will Yochum (Abby), Tyler Yochum, Logan Smith, Darby Britton, and Alex Deriso; great-grandchildren: Colton Yochum and Remington Yochum; two sisters: Lisa Taylor (Bobby) and Renee Taylor (Gene); and several nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
