Mr. James Walter Wooley, Jr., age 52, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at Crisp Regional Hospital in Cordele. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Jerry Ethridge officiating. Interment will be private in Oak Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday at Hancock Funeral Home from 12:00 until 2:00 PM. A native of Americus, Mr. Wooley was born March 27, 1967, a son of the late James Walter Wooley and Janice Hunt Wooley. Mr. Wooley was of the Christian faith, having just been Baptized last Sunday at Cornerstone Baptist Church. He spent 20 years (from 1990 until 2010) as a professional wrestler in the Peach State Wrestling Alliance, known by his fans as the Cosmic Jammer. He later worked as a self employed contractor and electrician. Survivors include his mother, Janice Hunt Wooley; his wife, Laura Wooley; his children: Zachary Wooley, Liam Wooley, Danielle Wooley, and Caroline Wooley; brothers: Jerry Roberts and Chris Wooley; sisters: Elaine Smith, Gail Decalio, and Diane Arnold; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, and by a brother, Ross Wooley.
