Mrs. Jewel Beauchamp Torbert, age 83, passed away on Saturday morning, November 19, 2022 at her home in Smithville. As was her wish, all services were private. Born January 20, 1939 in Smithville, she was the only child of Jesse Deville Beauchamp and Clara Elizabeth Cowart Beauchamp. Mrs. Torbert was very proud of her home in Smithville, and she loved watching the birds and butterflies. She was an avid reader and doll collector, and was a retired LPN, having worked in Plains and Dawson. She is survived by her only child, Valerie Osborne of Smithville.
