Mrs. Laura Elisha Walker Duke, age 103, passed away on Monday, April 9, 2018, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center.A memorial with visitation is planned for Thursday evening, April 19, between the hours of 7:30 and 8:30 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.Born August 30, 1914 in Big Spring, Texas, she was a daughter of the late James S. Walker and the late Ruby Riley Walker.  Mrs. Duke was a business owner for many years, having operated a nursery and day-care center.  She was a member of the Church of Christ in Americus.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Toby Duke.  Family members include her daughter, Polly Duke Clark (Leslie Gachot) of Cordele; one granddaughter, Tracy West of Americus; and grandchildren: Cole West (Anna) and Tobi West.To sign our online guestbook and express your condolences to the family, please visit www.hancockfuneralhomeinc.comHancock Funeral Home, 427 S.
