Leah Ruth Strong

Ms. Leah Ruth Strong, age 53, passed away on December 7, 2019 at her home in Ellaville. Services are planned for 6:30 PM on Monday, December 16, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Leah was born November 4, 1966 in Huntington Beach, CA, daughter of Robert Strong and Stella Nickell Strong.   She attended Ellaville United Methodist Church, and was employed at Mom's Kitchen.  Leah was a free spirit who loved fishing, cooking, gardening, and especially doing anything with her children. Survivors include her fiancé, Cordero Asbury of Ellaville; two sons: Daniel Vanzant (Christina) of Ellaville and Cody Vanzant (Jhenn) of Oak Harbor, WA; two grandchildren: Haven Derrington and Jacob Derrington; special friend Danny Kite; and brothers and sisters: David, Steve, Cindy and Jeanne.
