Martha Delores Skinner

Mrs. Martha Delores Skinner, age 83, passed away on Friday morning, December 31, 2019, at Magnolia Manor Nursing Center. Services are planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 4, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St.        Rev. Steve Golden will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM on Saturday at the funeral home. Born February 22, 1936 in Vienna, she was a daughter of the late Henry Carlisle and the late Gladys Inez Mitchell Carlisle. Mrs. Skinner was employed in the healthcare system as a nursing assistant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2017 by her husband of 54 years, Darrell "Jerry" Skinner; and by two sisters: Ruby Richardson and Patricia Worley Survivors include her children: Robert Skinner, Junior Carlisle, Thomas Atherton, Delores Melly, and Annette Carlisle; grandchildren: Hope Griggs (Mark), Alvin Carlisle, and Nikki Eggers (Barry); brother, James Carlisle (Mary Frances); eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
