Michael Alan Howard

Michael Alan Howard, age 64, passed away on October 12, 2018 in Mt. Dora, FL, after an extended illness.A 1973 graduate of Princeton High School in New Jersey, Mike was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1974 until 1976.  Since 2010, he worked with ISS Facility Services as a resident lock tender on Lake Apopka in Florida.  Mike was an avid sportsman and loved the outdoors, most especially being on the water.  He enjoyed fishing for leisure and successfully competed in many fishing tournaments throughout his life.Mike was a son of Lila Ruth Howard and the late Billy Mack Howard of Plains.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by two brothers: Jim Howard and wife Marie of Gainesville, FL and Steven Howard of Plains; his aunts: Sybil Carter of Plains, Peggy Jordan of Atlanta, and Gloria Ann Turner of Florida; an uncle, James Howard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.Private graveside services were held in Lebanon Cemetery in Plains.To sign our online guestbook and express your condolences to the family, please visit www.hancockfuneralhomeinc.comHancock Funeral Home, 427 S.
