Milner Thomas "Tom" Hunter

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Milner Thomas "Tom" Hunter, age 49, of Jones, Alabama on Thursday, August 3, 2023. Born July 29, 1974, in Dawson, Georgia, he was the youngest child of, and preceded in death by, his parents, Roy Hunter, Sr. and Margie E. Hunter. Tom is survived by his daughters, Jerrica Nix and Kortni Hunter; sons, Devan Hunter and Phillip Hunter; grandson, Major Malachi Nix; and siblings: Katrina K. Waller, Margie L. Smith, and Roy Hunter, Jr. (Rebecca). Tom was a skilled master carpenter, builder, and talented driftwood artist/sculptor. He had great love for his children, family and friends, and a kind, funny, generous spirit that will be sorely missed by all who knew him. The family will have a private graveside ceremony in Tazewell, Georgia, where he will be laid to rest alongside his mother, grandmother, grandfather, and uncle. A Celebration of Life gathering will be announced for all family and friends to attend at a later date.
