Mrs. Miriam Lucille Willis Tolbert, age 101, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Phoebe Sumter Medical Center. Due to mandated health precautions at the current time, a Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in the Martha McDonald Moore Memorial Chapel at Magnolia Manor. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Cincinnati. Born June 15, 1918 in Sciota, Ohio, she was a daughter of the late John Sherman Willis and the late Consuella Lucinda Vanderbilt Johnson. She was retired as an accounting clerk at Siemens in Cincinnati, and was of the Methodist faith. She was an avid reader and enjoyed needle point and quilting. Survivors include her daughter, Penny Thompson; two grandsons: Stephen L. Thompson and Scott R. Thompson (Leah); great-grandchildren: Haley Thompson, Hayden Thompson, Penny Clare Thompson, and Stephen Thompson; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Frank M. Tolbert; by her sister, Eleanor (Stumpy) Willis Munz; and by her brother, Howard C. Willis.
