Mrs. Nellie Kate Jennings passed away early Monday morning, July 2, 2018, at her home in Plains. She was 103.A memorial service is planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 21, at St.Andrews Lutheran Church in Plains, with remarks by Mrs. Allene Haugabook and Mr. Sonny Griffin.  Burial will be private.Born June 21, 1915 in Marion County, she was a daughter of the late Willis Sylvester Phillips and the late Essie Mae Stringfellow Phillips.  Mrs. Jennings was a home maker and a member of St. Andrews Lutheran Church.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Millard M. "Mill" Jennings; by two daughters: Millie Jennings and Phyllis Murray; by five sisters: Etta Walters, Stella Daniels, Lorice Hammond, Doris Christian and Marie Griffin; and by two brothers: Raymond Phillips and Calvin Phillips.Survivors include one daughter, Gail Cresswell and husband Bob Grossman; grandchildren: Kenneth Murray and wife Lorena, Brett Murray and wife Juana, and Tanya Zehnder and husband John; five great-grandchildren: Kate Murray, Hannah Murray, Jack Zehnder, Matthew Zehnder, and Ava Zehnder; several nieces and nephews, and many friends.In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial contributions to St. Andrews Lutheran Church, P.O.
