Mr. Robert Emmett "Bob" Snipes, age 69, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022 in Cashiers, North Carolina. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 27, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. with Ministers Ed and Lynn Alderson and Ministers Olin and Sherry Witherington officiating. All interment services will be private. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, August 26, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM at Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St. Born September 20, 1952 in Oveido, Florida, he was a son of the late Willie Emmett Snipes, Sr. and the late Rebecca Lockett Snipes. Mr. Snipes was a member of Glory of Zion International. He was a pharmacist, having owned his own pharmacy for 23 years in Richland, and later working in the pharmacies at CVS, Walgreens, and Winn Dixie in Americus, and Adams Family Pharmacy in Preston. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. Mentoring and encouraging the next generation of pharmacists was a true passion of Bob's. Bob was an alumnus of Mercer University College of Pharmacy (Southern School of Pharmacy). Gifts may be made in Bob's memory to the Bob Snipes Memorial Fund to benefit pharmacy students.
