Sandra Raye Larry, age 59, passed away on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. Funeral services are planned for Monday, January 16, at 1:00 PM, at Good News Ministry, 201 Mayo Street in Americus, with Pastor Dwayne Harvey officiating. Sandra Raye Larry was born on September 19, 1963 in Warner Robins, GA to the late Eddie Willie "Marvin" Larry and the late Erie Mae Smith. She received her education in Chicago Public Schools, and later attended Chicago Loop where she became a dental assistant. She later moved to Georgia where she developed a passion for care giving. She was self employed and she took care of children and the elderly for over thirty years. She was a faithful member of United House of Prayer for twenty years under the leadership of Pastor Hollman Harvey. She taught Sunday School and the after school program. She was preceded in death by both parents; her grandparents: Willard Smith, Sr. and Lola Brown Smith and Cleve Larry and Willie Ruth Larry; two aunts: Lillie Smith and Annie Ruth Harris; three uncles: William Smith, Jr., Elgin Smith, and Josh Canady; one granddaughter, Aubrey Love Raven; and a son-in-law, Cleveland Dorsey. She leaves a legacy of love: ex-spouse and friend Jonathan Goodman; three daughters: Mrs. Karla Harvey (Dwayne), Ms. Farla Butler-Dorsey, and Ms. Kacey Butler (Terrell Raven and Elory Teemer); her grandson who she helped raise as her honorary son, Mr. Khirey Banks; her pride and joys, her grandkids: Mr. Caleb Harvey, Miss Hollie Harvey, Mr. Khellyn Moore, Miss Khemirey Moore, Mr. Mikal Harvey, Miss Hannah Harvey, Miss Aliyah Raven, Miss Kharissa Washington, Miss Khandra Raye Washington, Mr. Josef Harvey, and Miss Jordyn Rae Teemer; siblings: Glenda Larry, Tamuel Larry Dingle, Donald Spikes (Barbara), Simuel Larry (Courtney), Toni Calvin, and Dexter and Cheryl Raven; uncle Robert Smith; aunties: Percilla Smith, Carolyn Larry, Jessie Canady, and Louise Lee; a host of loving cousins including her devoted cousin Robert P. Robinson; a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly, including a devoted niece LaErieia Foster; her spiritual parents Pastor Hollman and Betty Harvey; and her close friends and church family and friends.
