Mr. Thomas "Dicky" Brock, age 66, passed away on Wednesday evening, February 17, 2021, at his home in Americus. Funeral services are planned for 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 20, from the chapel of Hancock Funeral Home, 427 S. Lee St., with Rev. Steven Golden and Rev. Chet Ragsdale officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery in Plains. The following gentlemen are asked to serve as pallbearers: Walter Potter, John Potter, Paul Griffen, Jacob Allen, Cody Pitts, and Brad Brock. The family will receive friends on Friday evening, February 19, at Hancock Funeral Home, between the hours of 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Born May 17, 1954 in Hattiesburg, MS, he was a son of the late Thomas Cebron Brock and the late Roberta Ryan Brock. He was retired from Cooper Lighting, and had also worked at Plains Products and as a self-employed carpenter. A member of Bethel Baptist Church, Mr. Brock was a devout Baptist whose favorite saying was "God said it. I believe it. That settles it." Survivors include his wife, Wendy Brock; four brothers: Ernie Brock (Pat), Perry Brock (Marie), Kenneth "Dale" Brock (Fran), and Charles Brock; two sisters: Alice Potter and Agnes McAllister; and several nieces and nephews.
