Tulula Wise Cosby

Mrs. Tulula Wise Cosby, age 90, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 5, 2023, at Regency Hospital in Macon. Funeral services are planned for 11:00 on Saturday, December 9, from the graveside at Hebron Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Eubanks officiating. The family will receive friends in Hebron Fellowship Hall following services. The following gentlemen are asked to serve as pallbearers: Aaron Cosby, Bryce Cosby, Michael Harvin, Trae Harvin, Tate Harvin, Chandler Mills, and Michael Hodges. Born May 20, 1933 in Sumter County, she was a daughter of the late Tyre Phillip Wise and the late Lottie Meadows Wise. She was a retired L.P.N., having worked at Lillian Carter Nursing Center in Plains. Mrs. Tulula was a wonderful cook, and her greatest pride and joy was her children, and in caring for others. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Julian F. Cosby, Sr.; and by three sisters and one brother. Survivors include her children: Julian F. Cosby, Jr. (Brenda), Phyllis Harvin (Mike), and Betsy Hodges (Jack, Sr.); one brother, J.M. Wise (Betty); sister-in-law Martha Wise; six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
