Verna Gail Hamm Batts, 72, passed away March, 14, 2023 at her residence in Americus, Ga. Ms. Batts was born September 13, 1950 in Macon, Ga. to Vernon L. Hamm & Claire Dickens Hamm where she graduated from McEvoy High School in 1968. She was preceded in death by her parents & older sister, Melba Hamm Parker. She is survived by her brother, Stanley Hamm of Blue Ridge, Ga.; son, Sean Rhodes & his wife, Jessica Handberry Rhodes of Dawsonville, Ga.; daughter, Denise Rhodes Phillips & her husband, Greg Phillips of Buena Vista, Ga.; grandchildren, Teagan Rhodes, Declan Rhodes, Kadence Rhodes & Averett Phillips; nieces, Natalie Archebelle Register, Rhonda Archebelle Smith & Ashley Hamm Tamberino; and nephews, Rodney Archebelle & Forrest Hamm.
